worked for a Christian Trust in Scotland whose ministry was the care for the
elderly. Both Darren and Shan attended the
Brethren Bible college in Motherwell (GLO) for one year between 1994-1995 and
from 1995 until 99 Darren and Shan were employed by Mackintosh Evangelical
Church in Cardiff as their full time Church Workers.
In 1999
Darren and Shan moved to Mid-Wales where they joined the work of Impact Schools
Team whose aim is to communicate Christian Values in School, (Darren now
also directs this work across North Montgomeryshire) and joined Newtown
Pentecostal Church (now Hope Community Church) where they shared their burden
and vision for Llanfyllin.
Darren writes
"Looking back over the years of moving and adding to our family, we have seen
God's faithfulness reach the skies. We have sought to follow wherever He has
led and are thrilled to be in this place today ready to do whatever He asks us
to do, whenever He wants us to do it."

Personal:
Jonathan is married to Carolyn and
they have 2
adult children Rachel and Mathew. Jon was brought up and saved whilst in
the Brethren Church. After his marriage to Carol their family worshiped at
John Street Gospel Hall in Shrewsbury until he joined the Armed Forces in 1979.
Whilst serving around the world with the Army both Jon and Carol were active
members of the Soldiers, Airman Scripture Readers Assoc (SASRA). In 1997
Jon and Carol moved into the Llanfyllin area and became active members of the
Chelsea Lane Baptist Church in Welshpool. On retirement from the
Forces in 2001 Jon became a Gardener and ran a Christian Book Stall in
Welshpool Market. In April 2003, Jon and Carol were amongst the
families led by Darren and Shan, who helped establish the Community Church in
Llanfyllin.
The
Church: In April 2003 Darren and Shan led their family along with
eleven other adults and ten children with the blessing and support of Newtown
Penticostal Church (Now:
