Who are we?

We are a group of people from different backgrounds who live locally.  We believe in the God of The Bible and that His desire is to re-establish a personal and ongoing relationship with all people through Jesus Christ.

Pwy r ydymni ?

Rydym yn grwp o bobl o wahanol gefndir sydd yn byw yn lleol.  Rydym yn credu yn y Duw sydd yn y Beible ac yn ei ddymuniad sef i ail-sefydlu perthynas bersonol a pharhaus gyda'u holl bobl, trwy Iesu Grist a'r Ysbryd Glan.

Our Starting Point:

The Church is accountable to and comes under the covering and authority of the elders of Newtown Pentecostal Church.

As a Church we are in fellowship with the AOG denomination

The Church receives regular input from the Assemblies Of God (AOG) church planting Team.

Our heart:

In being part of a fresh work in Llanfyllin we wish to acknowledge respectfully the work and service of those who have gone before us and support the ministry of those in the area who faithfully proclaim the gospel in their chapels and churches.

We long more than anything else for the people of God in Llanfyllin and the surrounding area to be built up and given the appropriate opportunity to grow spiritually so that through their growth and the use of their gifts we might reach those who fail to see that Christianity has any bearing on life today.

We want our church to be shaped by the people within it and their gifting trusting that the flavour of our church would reflect God's amazing understanding of the community in which the church has been placed.

We hope that the church would develop a strong sense of belonging through plenty of opportunities to have fellowship together above and beyond the times of teaching and through a strong and practical means of meeting each others needs-physically, financially, emotionally and spiritually.

We would hope that all ages would take responsibility for the church community to which they belong.

All of these things would be under girded with prayer, which would take the form of prayer cells and fasting as the Lord leads.

As we do belong to a bilingual community we would be keen to be very supportive of those whose heart language would be Welsh and would seek to cultivate a church culture of ease with either language at various times.

In order to ensure that we are in keeping with God's timing we would from the very outset develop a habit of keeping projects started to a short term accountability so that any ministry is not so established it cannot keep in step with God's Spirit and the gifting of the church at any given time
