Who are we?
We are a group of people from different
backgrounds who live locally. We believe in the God of The Bible
and that His desire is to re-establish a personal and ongoing
relationship with all people through Jesus Christ.
Pwy r ydymni ?
Rydym yn grwp o bobl o wahanol gefndir sydd yn byw
yn lleol. Rydym yn credu yn y Duw sydd yn y Beible ac yn ei
ddymuniad sef i ail-sefydlu perthynas bersonol a pharhaus gyda'u
holl bobl, trwy Iesu Grist a'r Ysbryd Glan.
Our Starting Point:
The Church is accountable to and comes under
the covering authority of the elders of
Hope Community
Church, Newtown.
As Church we are in fellowship with the
Assemblies Of God (AOG) denomination
The Church receives regular input from the
AOG church
planting Team.
Our heart:
In being part of a fresh work in Llanfyllin
we wish to acknowledge fully the work and service of those
who have gone before us: supporting the ministry of those in the
area who faithfully proclaim the gospel in their chapels and
churches.
We long more than anything else for the
people of God in Llanfyllin and the surrounding area to be built up
and given the appropriate opportunity to grow spiritually so that
through their growth and the use of their gifts we might reach those
who fail to see that Christianity has any bearing on life today.
We want our church to be shaped by the people
within it through their spiritual gifts, so that its ethos will reflect God's amazing understanding of the community in which
the church has been placed.
We hope that the church will develop a
strong sense of belonging through
fellowship together above and beyond the times of teaching; also
through meeting each others
needs-physically, financially, emotionally and spiritually.
We hope that people of all ages will take
responsibility for the church community to which they belong.
All of these things would be under girded
with prayer, in prayer cells; prayer partners; Life
Groups and fasting
as the Lord leads.
As we belong to a bilingual community we
are keen to support those whose first language
is Welsh and accordingly would seek to cultivate a church culture at ease
with either English or Welsh.
